Question: I have AGM batteries, what switch setting do I put the PT charger on "Lead Acid" or Gel Cel"?

Answer: Lead Acid

Question: How do I determine if I have the right charger?

Answer: Add up all the battery amp hours (20 hour rating) plus any constant load. Divide the results by 10 and that (in amps) is the minimum size charger you need.

Question: I want to use a battery isolator to charge multiple battery banks, how do I know if my alternator can be used with an isolator?

Answer: How many leads are coming out of alternator? If only one large lead, it will not work with isolator.

Question: Can I use an isolator with my battery charger to charge more banks?

Answer: No, there is a .7 volt drop across the isolator which would not allow the batteries to fully charge.
