Standard Switches An Ac source selector switch is an essential item for any boat with an on-board AC generator and/or inverter. The switch eliminates the safety hazard and/or damage that can occur if two AC sources are applied to the same circuit simultaneously. These switches are fitted with a compact escutcheon plate with engraved switch position nomenclature (mounting dimensions below). The switches carry UL and CSA approval, are CE marked, and feature heavy duty contacts and a positive step cam mechanism for low resistance contact closure. May be installed in panel with thickness up to 1/4”.

A) Amperage/kW rating required
B) Number of switch positions required
C) Number of poles required

2) Use the chart below to determine model number:

If you have need for a specific arrangement of the switch selector position labels, please mention this at the time of ordering. Ship/Shore Switch Panel Blank Model: SSB
Mount any of the standard ship-shore switches listed above in this highly versatile panel blank. It accommodates any of
NEWMAR’s standard 3 kW, 7.5 kW or 15 kW switches configured as two position plus off or three position plus off. (SS-7.5 INV only)

A label set of 22 common AC functions is provided. These fit into milled recesses in the panel which correspond to the various switch positions. The panel is manufactured of 1/8" thick black anodized aluminum which is stylishly accented with a complementary gray silk-screen patina which matches other Newmar panels. The switch is secured in place with press-in studs on the panel rear.

The panel is also engineered to accommodate indicator lights for each of the active AC positions. Lights are sold separately. (Use 115/230 VAC Indicator Lights).

All panel and switch mounting hardware plus mounting bracket hardware for the optional indicator lights is provided.
